Design Thesis
Most bags stop being useful when you arrive. Then the laptop needs a desk, clothing needs a rack, equipment needs a stand, and accessories spread across whatever surface is available. The Portable Room Backpack treats the frame itself as reusable infrastructure.
Core Modes

Telescoping structure supports a laptop, keyboard, tablet, or portable display at working height.
Uprights extend above the bag and lock into a crossbar for jackets, work clothes, costumes, or laundry.
Mounting points organize headphones, cables, cameras, AV equipment, VR gear, and tools.
Standard attachment points let work surfaces and accessories snap onto the same structural platform.
Future fabric, power, lighting, privacy, seating, and shelter modules turn the system into a tiny portable room.
Mechanical Platform
The bag is one skin around a durable open frame. A practical first architecture uses lightweight telescoping rails, locking hinges, adjustable feet, removable crossbars, and standardized mounting points. Soft goods can change without throwing away the structure.

Design Principles
Prototype Path
Build a stable wearable frame with two telescoping uprights and fold-out feet.
Add a removable crossbar and prove that the deployed frame can hold real garments safely.
Add an adjustable work surface sized for a laptop and compact keyboard, then test height and stability.
Define mounting-hole spacing, load targets, replacement parts, and a simple module specification.
